Chiranjeevee Pokhrel, December 26, 2015 (Dcnepal) – It is the weakness of Nepali people that they don’t value what they have and run after what they don’t have. It is the compulsion to Nepali to purchase electricity from India even during embargo imposed by India. Wind energy, being laid down dumped in a corner, which was established with millions of investment, has not fetched any one’s concentration.

Here, Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli has declared that Nepal would be made load-shedding-free country; and if the power houses cannot give the necessary power of electricity, even wind energy can be used according to him. In the mean time, it has been found that the machines set to generate wind energy are found dumped.

The wind mill was established with the local’s labor and Government’s financial investment. None of us have thought of using the dumped mill and its parts. The windmill, established for the first time in 2046 B.S. in Nepal, could distribute electricity only for two months, have been damaged and dumped as useless materials. Both the fans of the Wind Power, after unbearable storm of the places, were broken; and could not be repaired. In Kagwani, naturally heavy wind storming, due to lack of fund, the program has not been stepped ahead though the local dwellers of Mustang have collected the parts and stored safe.

The villagers have frequently asked the government to re-run the program investing the fund. The VDC itself is ready to invest for the resumption of the project if the government permits. As the concerned agencies have no bothering about the generation of the electricity, most of the parts of the wind-mill are being useless and dumped in corners. Though the locals have frequently pressurized the concerned personalities, no one, from government, is giving serious look at it.
